Easter Wall Hanging/Plaque
This
cute wall hanging is easy to make and will add a fun touch no matter
where you hang it.
What You Will Need:
1. 4x6 size wooden photo frame
2. Wood letters for spelling Happy Easter
3. Light blue paint
4. Light pink paint
5. Easter egg sticker in purple and yellow or Easter egg stamp
6. White paper
7. Purple or purple striped paper
8. Yellow ribbon
9. Light blue ribbon that matches the blue paint
10. Small Easter egg ornament (can usually find these at any craft
store or dollar store around Easter)
11. Paintbrush
12. Paper cutter
13. Hot glue gun
14. Glue sticks
Directions:
1. Begin by taking the glass and backing out of the frame so that you
can paint the wood part blue.
2. Paint the frame with the blue paint. If the original color of the
frame is very dark you will probably need to put on at least three
coats of paint.
3. Paint the Wooden letters pink.
4. Plug in the hot glue gun and make sure it has a glue stick in it.
5. Allow everything to dry. Add any touchups where the paint is see
through.
6. While the paint is drying cut a piece of purple paper 4x6 inches so
that it will fit inside the frame.
7. Cut a piece of white paper 2x6 inches with the paper cutter.
8. Put the Easter egg sticker in the center of the white paper or
stamp your egg onto the white paper. Make sure that the orientation of
the egg is put on the paper correctly.
9. Glue the white piece of paper onto the center of the purple paper.
10. Set the paper aside where it will not get hot glue on it.
11. Glue the letters onto the frame so that “Happy” is on the top of
the frame and “Easter” goes across the bottom of the frame.
12. Remove any glue strings or extra glue.
13. Put the paper with the egg on it, the glass, and the frame backing
back into the frame. Make sure the paper is right side up.
14. Tie a knot into the ends of the yellow string.
15. Use the hot glue gun to attach the knots to the top of the frame.
This will form a hanger for the wall hanging.
16. Tie a knot with the blue ribbon onto the center of the yellow
ribbon, so that when it is hanging the blue ribbon will cover the nail
or whatever was used to hang it.
17. Put the string of the Easter egg ornament over the blue ribbon and
tie another knot to secure the ornament.
18. Tie the blue ribbon into a bow.
You have now finished your wall hanging. Find a fun place to hang it
like in a hallway, on the front door or in the room where the Easter
bunny usually leaves the baskets for the kids.
