Easter Bunny Basket

This fun basket is simple enough for a child to make and will give each kids basket their own unique personality.

What you will need:

1. Felt in white, and any other Easter color of choice
2. Two large and one small craft pom-poms in the colors of your choice (these will be made to make the rabbits nose)
3. Two googly eyes
4. White cardstock
5. Easter basket
6. Scissors
7. Hot glue gun
8. Glue sticks
9. Black marker

Directions:

1. Plug in the hot glue gun and make sure that it has glue in it.
2. Use a large lid or plate to draw a circle with the marker onto the colored piece of felt. This is the head for the rabbit.
3. Draw on ears using the marker.
4. Cut out the rabbit head.
5. With the rest of the colored felt draw two rabbit feet. These feet should be long and have three “toes.” You may want to make just one, cut it out then use it as a pattern for the other foot.
6. Cut out the feet.
7. Glue the rabbit head and feet onto the white cardstock with the hot glue gun.
8. Cut the cardstock around the felt. This will create a hard backing for the felt so that it will stand up.
9. Glue the two large craft pom-poms side by side on the rabbit head approximately where the nose would be.
10. Glue the third smaller pom-pom directly above the two larger ones.
11. Glue on the two googly eyes.
12. With the white felt make the inside of the rabbit ears. This can be done in a similar way to the feet.
13. Glue the inside of the ears onto the rabbit.
14. Now you get to attach the rabbit to the basket. Apply glue to the lower section of the rabbit head and attach it to the basket.

15. Apply a small amount of glue to the bottom of the basket just below the rabbit head and glue on the feet so that they stick out from underneath the rabbit.
16. Allow the glue to set and then get ready to see your kids have fun looking for Easter eggs with the Easter bunny at their side.
